I don't have much to write about this concert because anybody who is a fan of The Beatles will know that Paul McCartney was one of them and he is a fantastic genius of a musician. The Concert was 3 hours of pure joy. Here's some pictures and video I took which doesn't do him any justice. Also, I apologise for my singing!
Minute Maid Park is home to the Houston Astros Baseball team. Tonight it was to be the venue of Paul McCartney's 3 hour gig....
Then after an hour of sitting through remixes and Motown versions of Beatles and Paul songs the man finally appeared and broke into 'Magical Mystery Tour' followed closely by the Wings' classic 'Junior's Farm'
Sorry about the camera work. People were coming in and out of our row all the time and you can hear me singing along! Which I did all night and it cost me my voice!
For some reason we didn't get photos of the spectacular performance of 'Live And Let Die' he did because we were just in awe. Jaws were dropped and never picked up.
Macca brought out all his guitars for us that night, including the Epiphone Casino that he played on so many Beatles tracks in the mid to late 60's He played 'Paperback Writer' on it for us.
He also did tributes to his Beatle band mates John and George who are very sadly no longer with us.
He ended the night fittingly with Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End for us all. He left us wanting more but it was over and it was a fabulous concert. Thank you Paul!
